Jack Reacher, a former army police officer, sets out on another adventure in this book.
Once captur...ed, the gunman expresses only one wish which is to speak with Jack Reacher. There seems to be a connection between the two from their former army days. Reacher himself lives a rather homeless existence with not much to his name and barely scraping by on his meagre savings. He instantly takes a bus out to Indiana to meet him.
Staying away from trouble has always been a problem for Reacher, what with evil always lurking in the shadows out to get him. This time around, trouble calls out to Reacher and he is unable to resist. He has his own set of conclusions related to the shooting, like pieces of puzzle scattered everywhere in his brain. All that is left for him to do is piece them together before his time is up.
