Balwant Moreshwar Purandare Pune, popularly known as Babasaheb Purandare, was born on Nag Panchami, is a writer and theatre personality from Maharashtra, India. He was awarded with Padma Vibhushan, India's second highest civilian award on 25 January 2019.
