Nee Kumud Awati - I did my B.A. with English Literature from Fergusson Collage - Pune & M.A. with Sociology from the Uni. of Pune. Then worked as a research officer under late Dr. Iravati Karve in Deccan College - Pune in the Dept. of Sociology & Anthropology Worked on the project 'Socio-anthropological' survey of Shepherd Community in Maharashtra. During this period had got some experience in excavating archaeological sites and writing few articles about them in Marathi newspapers.
After marriage, spend 16 years in army life, Had got an apportunity of visiting various places and people from different regions on India. Had participated in lot of activies like acting, singing, danceing plus worked for soldiers families. Had spend quality time in reaning two children.
Since 1988 staying in Pune. Worked as a manager in a Photo Studio for 10 years and learnt a lot about photography. Now since 1999 having time for myself. Keeping busy in number of activities like social work in Aundh area. Writing about social causes in India express and Marathi newspapers, articles in Marathi magazines. Active participation in society club, Marathi Literature club, English Book club activies with a special liking for compening shows in Marathi, Hindi English. Frequently being invited as a judge for writing competitions.
Translation work strated with an article on America visit in English to Marathi. 'Chicken Soup fot the Soul' - volume 1 & 3 transleted in Marathi are published. 'It Happened in India' the famous autobiography of Kishor Biyani - Marathi translated version is also published.
'Chicken Soup for the Soul' 4th, 5th, 6th volume and 'Circle of Light' - Kiran Ahluwalia's autobiography's Marathi translated work is on the way.
