This novelization follows Ash's adventures in Johto, the new land in Gold/Silver. It's a companion to "Pokemon Gold/Silver: The Adventure Continues!: Pathways to Adventure", and features many new characters including Hoothoot, Lugia, Chikorita and Totodile. The novelization can be read purely as a story set in the Pokemon world, but it also includes hints, clues, ...and strategies for succeeding in the first portion of the games.
