Chris Goodrich (1956 - hanging in there) started out as a book critic in San Francisco, but soon realized you shouldn't criticize what you haven't done yourself. A year at Yale Law School gave him the opportunity to write a book about legal education, which became the first volume of an (unexpected) quartet.
