Clare Morrall is an English novelist. Born in Exeter, she has lived mainly in Birmingham, where she worked for many years as a music teacher. She achieved sudden success with her first published novel, Astonishing Splashes of Colour, which reached the shortlist for the 2003 Booker Prize.
