Summary Of The Book

They give readers deep insight into the lives of the people during those times. The stories here are those of crime detection and they feature the famed fictional detective, Byomkesh Bakshi, and his comrade Ajit.

The first story in?Picture Imperfect And Other Byomkesh Bakshi Mysteries?is one in which Byomkesh must rack his bra...ins to unravel the mystery surrounding a case of drug trafficking. One of the other stories, titled?The Gramophone Pin Mystery, is centered on a series of roadside accidents and here Byomkesh must try to decipher the intricate details of these accidents.

Calamity Strikes?is another interesting story from the collection, in which the focus is on the shocking death of a young girl, whose body is found in the neighbors kitchen. The story?Picture Imperfect?puts Byomkeshs skills to the test by having him unearth the secrets surrounding a group photograph that was stolen. The story also involves a couple and a murder that seems rather pointless.
