The Case of the Gilded Lily (Perry Mason Mystery) is a crime suspense novel and a part of the Perry Mason series of detective stories.

Perry Mason is a criminal defense lawyer. He enjoys working in cases that are difficult, unusual or nearly hopeless in the Case of the Gilded Lily (Perry Mason Mystery), Stewart G Bedford and his wife, Ann, are blackmailed by Binney Denham. Binney has information about Ann's criminal past and threatens to reveal it. He demands $20,000, which Stewart agrees to pa...y.

Stewart goes to a roadside motel, which is the ransom exchange location. The story takes a dramatic turn, when Stewart wakes up in a drugged state and find outs that Binney has been shot. The blackmailer's gun and his sidekick, Jerry, are both missing. Eventually, Stewart is accused of murdering Binney. It looks like a very straightforward case as Stewart can't provide an alibi and he certainly has a very strong motive for killing Binney in the Case of the Gilded Lily (Perry Mason Mystery), Perry Mason takes the case and now has to defend a man who seems like the most obvious culprit.
