Vasant Purushottam Kale was born on 25 March, 1933, in Maharashtra. He was a well-known writer. Though he also worked as an architect, he was more popular as a writer, and held the reputation of being one of the best Marathi authors. Kale wrote novels, biographical sketches, and short stories. During his lifetime, he wrote around 60 books in total. Some of the other books authored by V. P. Kale are- Sange Vadilanchi Kirti, Maza Mazayapashi, Intimate, Cheears, Aik Sakhe, Karamchari, Valay, Goshta Hatatli Hoti!, and Thikarivbb.
